About

What would you do if you woke up naked on a strange city street with no idea how you got there, all the while being hassled by a tired and grumpy blue demon who's telling you you're dead and in Hell? Have no idea? Neither does Gigi. Follow the cheery, if a bit flighty, ghost on her adventure through an icy Hell to find her way out of there, hopefully without annoying the locals and earning her own neverending torture. Luckily for her, that grumpy demon from before is in charge of making sure she doesn't royally screw up, though one must wonder if he can keep himself from messing himself up?
Updates Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Why is it called The Day Hell Froze Over?
Because the entire story hinges upon the fact that Hell has frozen over! Y'know, like the saying? Well, this is literal. Snowball's chances? Very, very good. Man, I should have named Gigi Snowball. Dang it!

Argh, [insert long list of things that don't coincide with your belief system on the subject of life after death] is all wrong! FIX IT.
Okay, this hasn't been brought up by anyone because dude, and I'm just writing this to forego such a situation, should anyone wish to bring it up. This comic is intended to be FUNNY and WEIRD and DIFFERENT, not a reprisentation of my own beliefs or the beliefs of anyone else. I'm using the setting of a Dante's Inferno-like Hell because it's familiar to people and plays along with what I want to do brilliantly. I'm not saying that this is what Hell's like or this is where insert-type-of-person-here goes when they die or anything, and I certainly hope to not offend anyone! I'm just an artist trying to get this crazy idea out of my system in hopes of making someone's day a little more jovial. If I've managed to anger anyone, I'm sorry, but what did you think this comic was going to be about? Adorable kittens and college life? The life and times of Civil War reenactors? Multicultural Squad? Sorry to disappoint. D:

Who makes this stuff up? Why, Laura McDonough (or Sweety, if you prefer silliness), of course! As both writer and artist, even, though that should be evidenced by the weak dialogue and plot amazing blending of storytelling and visuals. Yes. I'm new to attempting a serial comic, but I've been working on illustrations and (gasp) petsite art for most of my life. You can see my personal website with some art of mine and more information for you stalkers out there at Chronic Oddities, or you can see my more random postings and ramblings on my Livejournal, as seen here. I'd love to say that I do commissions, which I'd loooovvveee to do, but I haven't any idea where to start anymore! Feel free to contact me if you're interested, we can certainly work out a deal.

If you have any comments, suggestions, fanart, commission work, or even just want to chat (!!!), feel free to e-mail me at sweetypah(at)gmail.com. I hate using (at) instead of @, but I fear robots. Darned hunka' junks.
